The converse of the town this July 3rd will be “Return to Roots” and the Clayton Fireworks display screen. Artist Bios –
John Elwood Cook:
A guy with a sharp brain, a sardonic humor and a deep comforting voice. His adore for the mighty St. Lawrence River ran deep and real and obvious in so a lot of what he did. Fishing, artwork, music, household, the day to day. All for the appreciate of the River. John was a respected art teacher, prolific songwriter, musician and artist with a exclusive relationship to the St. Lawrence River. As a fourth-technology resident of the 1,000 Islands, he captured the essence of the river through his artwork and new music.

He was an art teacher in Wallingford for his entire career, most lately at Sheehan Superior College until his retirement in 2002. His learners were extremely crucial to him and he entertained them with his humor as perfectly as educating artwork. Apart from his spouse of 51 several years, John is survived by his son Jesse of Greenfield Middle, NY his daughter Allison Latcheran and her husband Jeffrey of Pittsburgh, PA his grandchildren Connor, Courtney and William as properly as his pet dog Asta.
Kari Zelson Robertson:
Is a ceramic artist living and operating in her household studio/gallery in Ithaca, NY. See her do the job at the neighborhood artists’ cooperative, Handwork on The Commons, Ithaca, NY, and/or The Potters’ Gallery, in Penn Yan, NY.
